She'll meet strange new characters in her visit to Wonderland. Such as: "Hatter," the two timing, smooth talking, con man who can't decide who to support. The "White Knight," a strange paladin from the old war with a connection to the supernatural. "Mad March," the bizarre and rabbit-headed hit man bent on finding the secrets Alice holds. Will she be able to bring down the entire house of cards in time? This is the first time for a community-wide theatre production in Hinckley. In 1999, Corrilla Clark started directing the Children’s Theatre for Summer Recreation at the Ostrand Fine Arts Center. Clark’s current cast, which ranges in age from 6 year-olds to adults, includes two of her original cast members from the performance sixteen years ago.
A cast of fifty will be on stage at the Ostrand Fine Arts Center for the Hinckley Summer Community Theatre Initiative production of “Alice-in Wonderland”. The Nick Willing’s rendition adapted for stage by Joanna Hedrick will be performed at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 20th; Friday, August 21st; and Saturday, August 22nd. A matinee will be on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
