Mr. Visser's teaching experience includes being a third and fourth grade teacher in the Dassel/Cokato School District for 5 years. During that time, he coached seventh grade football and was an assistant girls basketball coach. Mr. Visser has been teaching 5th grade in the Hinckley-Finlayson school district since 2000. He has also coached eighth grade girl’s jaguar softball, junior high boy's basketball and baseball.
The University of Wisconsin at River Falls is where Mr. Visser received his Bachelor of Science degree. He majored in Elementary Education and minored in coaching.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. They spend their extra time fishing, camping and having fun.

Mrs. Balut has been working with the Hinckley-Finlayson School District since 2009. She taught second grade for three years, and is now thrilled to be part of the fabulous fifth grade teaching team!
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and her Graduate Teaching License in Elementary Education from The College of St. Scholastica.
Mrs. Balut is married and has two daughters. After living in the Twin Cities for 10 years, she is thrilled to be back living so close to the farm she grew up on. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends boating, swimming, ice skating and cross country skiing on Grindstone Lake. She is incredibly proud to be a member of the Hinckley-Finlayson School District and the community!

Mrs. Ellis started working in Hinckley in 2015 and is the English Language Arts teacher for 5th grade. Her teaching experiences involves many grade levels, but her passion has always been reading and she is excited to be teaching your fifth graders in this area. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northwestern College (now the University of Northwestern, Saint Paul) in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education through the College of Saint Scholastica, with an emphasis in literacy.
Mrs. Ellis enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 children. They love going geocaching, taking hikes, and spending time at the family cabin. They also love to travel and have family time at home.
