ServSafe Recertification and Essentials Classes for Food Managers
ServSafe is nationally recognized food safety course. The course meets the Food Manager Certification requirement for the State of MN and WI. Content include the need and benefits of an effective safety plan, how food becomes contaminated, how to control these risks, and protect your business, employment, food and customers. Essential participants will test for a ServSafe Certification.

Home Stretch Workshop
Central MN Housing Partnership
Free yourself from some of the complications and stress of buying a home by participating in a Home Stretch Workshop.In one day, you will learn about qualifying for a mortgage, financing a home, budget
and credit issues, real estate, the closing process, basic home maintenance and affordable mortgage products that may be available to first-time homebuyers. Some affordable mortgage products, first-time homebuyer products, and government loans may require a buyer to receive a Home Stretch certificate.
Registration is required and participants will receive a completion certificate at the end of the day.

Gluten Free Baking
This class is for those who would like to learn the basics of gluten free baking. We will learn what flours are gluten free and the hands-on/“how-to” of achieving a quality baked product. Taste-testing of finished gluten free baked products. Recipes will be included in the hand-out packet. If you want to avoid the huge learning curve that goes with gluten free baking, this class is for you!

Open enrollment for Medicare begins Oct 15 and runs through December 7th. A Senior Linkage Line® staff will be offering FREE Medicare counseling/part D comparisons for those who would like to review their current coverage or need help enrolling. The specialist will be available by appointment: Fridays Oct 24th, Nov. 7th, Nov. 21st and Dec. 5th form 9am until 12pm. Please call Amy Tvedt at the Senior Linkage Line® to schedule an appointment at 1 800 333 2433.
Appointments will be held at Hinckley Finlayson High School (210 Main St. in Hinckley) in Room 107.

MHSRC 55+ Driver Improvement Class - Refresher Course
Gene Carlson - MN Hwy Safety Center instructor
For those that are 55 yrs and over and have taken the initial class before. The class will explore changes in laws, the latest vehicle technology, and provide you with easy-to-use defensive driving tips. In addition, we will explore traffic safety and accident prevention. The classroom course allows for a 10% reduction in your insurance rate (check with your local insurance agent). Please pre-register at least one week prior. The local insurance office does provide refreshments and door prizes. A minimun of 12 are needed for the class

HFHS Cross Country Team
The HFHS Cross Country team would like to invite children in grades PreK – 6th grade to participate in our Homecoming Fun Run. The event will feature a fun run/jog/walk for students. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Come out and support HFHS sports teams and remember to wear your Jaguar colors, the crazier the better!
