GSA

The GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) is a student-run group that unites LGBT youth and their allies. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive group of like-minded people, who understand the unique experiences of LGBT youth, and pave the way for current and future HF students to feel safe enough to be themselves, no matter what that looks like.

Purposes of the GSA

• Socializing - building relationships with other students who share similar interests
• Support - discussing issues that are unique to the LGBT community at HFHS and the larger community, including mental health, physical safety, a sense of purpose and belonging, and supporting access to additional resources as needed
• Leadership - students take a leadership role to improve the climate for students at HF including education and awareness, and advocating for student rights and responsibilities

GSA attended a Pumpkin Party on October 29.
