Hinckley-Finlayson Schools

The Hinckley-Finlayson School Board has offered the position of Superintendent to Brian Masterson. There were 10 candidates for this position. The school board chose to interview two finalists. After interviews, the board selected Mr. Masterson. "He has over 20 years of experience in education. We believe he will be a great leader for students, staff, and community" stated School Board Chair Jodi Storlie.
Mr. Masterson has accepted the position. Negotiations will begin soon. Chair Storlie believes a contract will be ready by the April 11th school board meeting. Mr. Masterson will have the spring to work on transition with Mr. Prater and select the next HFHS Principal.
"We are confident that Brian will continue to be visible and accessible while continuing our work of school improvement," said Storlie.
Treasurer Leo Irlbeck said that "We narrowed the field to two great candidates. We selected Brian Masterson because of his enthusiasm for, and commitment to, our community."
The School Board would like to thank Superintendent Rob Prater, Human Resources Assistant Julie Nelson, and all the staff/community members that supported the board through the recruitment and selection process.
