ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SCHOOL BOARD RESOLUTION

Hinckley-Finlayson Public Schools and the school board are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for its staff. To achieve this goal, the district has formed safety committees and has implemented this policy, procedures and training to comply with the myriad of environmental health and safety regulations impacting public schools in Minnesota.
In conjunction with Resource Training and Solutions on-site management program, the district will develop and implement written health and safety management plans; conduct inspections, surveillances, and inventories as necessary; train appropriate employees and maintain records as required by state and federal agencies. The following is a list of the major programs that are being addressed by the school district:

Blood borne Pathogens
Chemical Hygiene
Community Right to Know
Compressed Gas
Confined Space
Emergency Preparedness
Employee Right to Know

The school board will ensure that appropriate funding and resources are available to implement and maintain the federal, state and local environmental health and safety programs.
