We have found no educational purpose in the use of this application, rather found it disruptive to student learning. It is therefore, banned from use within the school and school network.
According to a recent story by CNN, Yik Yak has been used by teens in some middle and high schools for everything from cyber bullying to illegal activity. It is therefore, strictly prohibited from use on school devices and the school network.
