  • Current MN Licensure in Special Education in ASD, DCD, EBD, SLD, ABS, or DAPE

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

•  Work with a variety of students within any disability area

•  Must have good written and verbal communication skills

•  Must be able to create thorough lesson plans and implement them effectively

•  Must be able to do assessments for purposes of determining special education eligibility

•  Must have good data collection expertise and the ability to monitor student progress

•  Must be a good collaborator and team player

•  Must be able to work with and supervise paraprofessionals

Job Description

  • Develops and administers Math curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.

  • Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning.

  • Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs.

  • Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by the district.

  • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.

  • Coordinates with other professional staff members and participates in PLCs and other monthly meetings.

Salary

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to teach 7th and 8th grade Theater Class. 

  • Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

  • Communicates regularly with parents via Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.

  • Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.

  • Participating in building and department meetings and workshops in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.

  • Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.

  • Integration of technology into instruction.

  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

     

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate skills in performing daily routines.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate necessary classroom technology.

Hinckley-Finlayson High School is seeking a Health/Physical Education/DAPE/Driver’s Education Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.  This position will teach 9th graders in Physical Education, Health and Driver’s Education as well as DAPE classes.  Preference will be given to the person who holds a Health Teaching License, a Physical Education and DAPE Teaching License and a Driver’s Education Teaching License.

Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with students during school hours throughout the school year. Whether you are a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great tutor! No experience? No problem. With training and on-site coaching, our tutors are prepared to help kids succeed.

The part-time position is available beginning in August, October and January. Tutors receive a paycheck every two weeks plus up to an additional $5,100 for college tuition or loans (tutors 55+ may gift the education award to their child, grandchild, stepchild or foster child).

Hinckley-Finlayson Public Schools are looking for Bus Drivers and offering a $1000 sign on bonus to those applicants who are fully licensed
