Job Summary: Hinckley Elementary School is looking for an ECSE teacher for the 2023-24 school year. This is a 1.0 FTE position. Candidates plan for, develop and implement individualized education programs and instruction in academic areas in collaboration with other educational professionals and administrators. Candidates work collaboratively with special services team members to support the needs of children from birth to K.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess an ECSE Minnesota teaching license. Preference will be given to candidates who hold this license and have experience teaching in this position.

Job Description
- Develops and administers ELA curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs.
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by the district.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Coordinates with other professional staff members and participates in PLCs and other monthly meetings.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to teach 7th and 8th grade Theater Class.
- Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Communicates regularly with parents via Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
- Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
- Participating in building and department meetings and workshops in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
- Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.
- Integration of technology into instruction.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate skills in performing daily routines.

The ALP teacher delivers academic programming in multiple content areas for high school students (9-12); develops and delivers engaging curricular content based on state and local standards; implements differentiated instruction with a focus on personalized learning; embeds social-emotional learning; various technologies and a variety of pedagogical approaches into daily activities; establishes effective classroom management with a focus on restorative practices; and communicates effectively with all stakeholders.

Support Staff Positions
Hinckley-Finlayson High School and the Pine County Transition Program are looking for a long term paraprofessional sub (through December 22, 2023) AND a regular para for this program beginning with the 2023-24 school year.
This position will work with students in our special education transition program with our 18 – 21 year old students. This position supervises students in the community at volunteer worksites as well as provides academic support in the classroom. This position is 5.5 hours/day from 8:15 am – 2:15 pm Monday through Friday. The starting salary for this position is $17.29 an hour.
